Welcome to Castlehill Chess Club!
The largest and most active chess club in Dundee. For beginners to Masters, Juniors to adults. We’re always looking for new members – our membership is rapidly expanding!. We have male and female members, the young and the old. Coaching is available.
We also have our own dedicated “World Wide Online Chess Club” so no matter where in the world you are, you can become a member and play in our online competitions!
If you want to improve your chess, play casual chess, league chess, or any kind of chess, our club normally meets every Thursday throughout the year (Except Christmas). Doors open at 7:15pm and play starts from 7:30pm.

The club's previous website has been retired because the hosting contract has come to an end. It was very old and it was not feasible to move it. This new website will have content added in the coming weeks.

OTB QUICK-PLAY GRAND PRIX - UPDATE The penultimate round 4 was held on Thursday 17th July 25, 7:30pm, and 9 players battled over the boards for supremacy. After 8 rounds, Vladyslav Drabych finished top of heap and in doing so, made it almost impossible for anybody to catch him. Indeed all Vladyslav has to do is turn up for the bonus point and that would do it regardless of how he does on the night!
