SEASON 12 REPORTS
FINAL - Tues 16th Dec 25
TBC
PLAY-OFFS - Tues 9th Dec 25
Division one: Dundee City A got the fright of their lives against Wells Globetrotters 1, who played outstandingly well despite being well outgraded. All the matches ended in a draw: Board 1: FM Rishi Vijayakumar, opponent managed to get a threefold repetition in a lost position; Board 2: IM Richard Polaczek, an exchange down in the end game, managed to force a draw! Board 3: Ian McDonald, drew due to insufficient material; Board 4: Ed Spencer, mutually agreed on a draw.
It looked like that was it for Dundee City A, but in a first-ever, it turned out Dundee City A qualified for the final on the 4th tie-break rule! Jubilation for Dundee City A, but heartbreak for Wells Globetrotters 1.
Division 2: Dundee City C put up a brave fight, but were outclassed this time around against Worcestershire Wolfpack A, who were deserved winners on the night!
ROUND 7: - Tues 2nd Dec 25
We had 3 winning teams out of 5 to finish off the qualifying groups. After the seven rounds, two of our teams reached the play-offs, with Dundee City A (the defending champions) qualifying in division one, and Dundee City C, qualifying in division 2, a very tough group.
Congratulations to both teams!
ROUND 6: - Tues 18th Nov 25
Oh, what a night! Scotland`s men`s football team qualify automatically for the World Cup, and all 5 Dundee City teams won their respective matches, some against all the odds, just like Scotland!
Division one: Dundee City A, has already qualified for the play-offs with one round to spare! Dundee City B sit in 3rd place and probably need a miracle to reach the play-offs, but they must at least win their last match and as they say, never say never!
Division two: Dundee City C got a great win against our old adversaries, Wessex D, which puts them in 2nd place on equal points with Oxford 1.
All Dundee City C need to do is win their last match against Cozy Tomatoes to make it to the play-offs. They also have a get-out-of-jail card, in the guise of the runaway leaders. Better tell Tal, who are Oxford's opponents in the last round!
Division three: Dundee City D & E had outstanding wins against far stronger opponents, especially our "E" team! This also means, both teams are now safe in their division groups, as long as they don`t incur any default games in the last round!
Well played, everybody, including our national team!
