Club President – Keith Rose

Keith is our Club President. Keith was Club Secretary for 39 years and stood down in 2020 (for a well earned rest!). Keith has been a stalwart of not only chess at Castelhill, but in Dundee, TAFCA and all over Scotland. At the 2020 AGM Keith was awarded Life Membership for his service to the club. At the 2023 AGM the post of Club President was created with the sole purpose of charing Committee meeting, AGMs and any EGMs. Keith was unanimously elected. In his spare time Keith enjoys cricket and is a long suffering spurs fan.

Club Secretary – Daniel Coleman

Daniel is our club secretary having assumed the role at the 2022 AGM. Daniel has been a member since 2010 and was Club Treasurer prior to being the Secretary. Daniel is also involved in politics in Dundee, plays golf and supports Portsmouth and Dundee United.

Competition Organiser – Ray Noble

Ray is our Competition Organiser and makes sure the club competitions run without a hitch. A fountain of knowledge when it comes how to run chess related events. Ray has been a member of the club since the 1990s and has been involved in running things ever since. He was awarded Life Membership at the 2023 AGM for his services to the club. He also serves as TAFCA Fixture Secretary, a mammoth task in itself! Ray has a keen interest in dominoes and poker and is a taxi driver.

Treasurer – Colin Young

Colin is an experienced member of the club and assumed the role of Treasurer at the 2022 AGM. He controls the purse strings! Colin is semi retired and takes interest in Tennis and Football, supporting Dundee United and Arsenal.
