THURS NIGHT WEEKLY QUICK-PLAY
14/10/21 – Arena 70
Time-Control – 3 minutes Blitz.
Well another new time control of 3 minutes blitz with 8 players taking part. It was a very competitive night and we ended up with a two way tie for first place (we don’t` use Lichess tie-break system so ignore only one winner!), between Richard Kynoch & Oggy Kolev both on 21 points each! This makes both players the first winners of this time control and well played both of you!
Subhayu Banerjee takes 3rd place on 18 points, only three points behind the winners and just goes to show he really is a tricky player to play at any time control!
The top junior once again is Ramit Kanodia on 13 points. You can`t keep a good junior down for long after he lost both his matches in the Junior 4NCL earlier in the night against an opponent way above Ramit`s level at the moment! Keep it going Ramit!
Next week (Thurs 28th Oct) this competition will still be on for now, but not sure how it will all work out as Castlehill Chess Club Dundee opens it’s doors for OTB, face to face chess for the first time in well over a year!
Time control for next Thursday will be 2 minutes only (8:10pm to 9:20pm ).
