It was a long tournament and not all matches were completed, but Matthew was by far the best player in the tournament and the deserved champion! Well played also to Josh Dickson on finishing runner-up, followed closely by his brother, Noah Dickson in 3rd place!

Thank you everybody for taking part!

———————————————–

We have 6 juniors, in an all-play-all format. Round 1 matches to be played by Sun 10th Dec 23.

Season 22-23

Congratulations to Rishi Vijayakumar J11 on defending his Junior Online Club  Championship after winning 2 – 0 against Josh Dickson J12 in the final round!

Well done Haoqi Lui J11 on finishing runner-up after beating Noah 2 – 0 and the rest of the chasing pack not completing their matches! Fantastic achievement Haoqi!

——————————————

At last we have reached the last round of the Online Junior Club Championships 22-23! The defending champion and top seed, Rishi Vijayakumar is leading and looks odds on to retain his title after his nearest challenger, Scot Xu could only manage a ½ point in round 4 against Nhat Nguyen!

Still you never know what can happen in the last round, so we will just have to wait and see!

————————————————-

It’s taking its time but the 3rd round has now been concluded. Leader Scot Xu managed to take a point off defending champions Rishi Vijayakumar to keep himself top of the table by half a point! Nhat Nguyen moves along side of Rishi on 4 ½ points each after a 2 – 0 win against Josh Dickson.

The 4th round will make or break some players. Scot Xu faces Nhat Nguyen and Rishi will be hoping for a 1 – 1 draw in that match as long as he can win 2 – 0 against Ramit Kanodia to take the lead!

Can Scott hold his nerve, or will Nhat spoil the party and give himself a chance of the title?

We will just have to wait and see!

———————————–

After 2 rounds we have a surprise leader in Scott Xu J14, who is the only junior on full points after defending champion and number one seed, Rishi Vijayakumar J11, dropped a half point against Nhat Nguyen J14! Still a long way to go and you just never know how it will all work out in the end. Round 3 could be a very important round as Scot & Rishi play each other!

————————————————————

The first round is almost completed and the second round draw is now up on the website. No shock results just yet, but you never know!

————————————————

That`s it up and running at last! The first round draw is up and it could be the strongest Junior Club Championship ever! With 9 players taking part ranging from 10 to 18 years of age and UG to 1826 grading wise, we are in for a cracker I think!

Good luck to all players!

SEASON 2021-22

Congratulations to Rishi Vijayakumar J10 on becoming the 2021-22 Junior Club Championship Online! Another title for this amazing young man! Well done also to Ramit Kanodia J14 who pushed Rishi all the way to finish Runner-up!

—————————————————–

2nd Round

Still a couple of matches to be completed but the result of the round so far is Josh Dickson J11 (880) with white winning against Rishi Vijayakumar J10 (1570)e!
This is a fantastic result by Josh and hopefully sign`s of improvement from Josh in such a short space of time. Ramit won both his games against Haoqi who seems to be stuck improvement wise. Hopefully once he starts playing OTB again we can change that! Still waiting for new junior Sean Lewis to start his campaign and see how good he is.

——————————————————-

First round completed and no major shock results as Rishi & Josh both won their two matches!

Early days yet and Ramit Kanodia has still to enter the fray!
