IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
CLUB NIGHT – ROCKING In COMFORT
Thurs 30th May 24
Well, what was supposed to be a quiet night, turned out to be a busy competitive battle, with 7 matches on. The players just kept coming out of the wood work, but luckily, we had it all set up just in case! Not only that, but the matches would be played in comfort, with very relaxing chairs!
Despite all the matches, our main hall was busy as well, with many a skittle game and some new blood to boot!
On the night we also had two late trophy presentations with Alexander Barron-Majerik J12, getting his trophy for TAFCA`s most improved junior season 23-24,
and Iain Sneddon, being presented with the Presidents Cup (U1650) which he won in the TAFCA Individual in February 2024.
Happy days all around for players and the club. You want to beat the weather blues, come on down to Castlehilll Chess Club, Dundee for a game of chess and some banter from the friendliest chess club this side of the Milky Way! It`s cosmic! Beam me up Ray!
