CLUB NIGHT REPORT (Thurs 27th June 19)
33 players down, 9 of them juniors! Tonight was the Bob Dunn Summer Championship, round 2 night. Also the penultimate Junior Club Championship qualifying section was well and truly on!
JUNIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
With only 4 places available for the finals night to decide who will be this years Junior Club Championship, it was a battle royal to see who gets the last two spots! With Ramit Kanodia (Defending Champion) and Rishabh Akula already guaranteed a place, the rest must fight it out for the last two places!
With only next Thursday (4th July) left it is going to the wire with Haoqi Zang and Alexander Barron-Majerik holding the last two places, but with Anish, Tom & Krish breathing down their necks!

BOB DUNN SUMMER
It was a busy night with 11 matches on. All matches went to the form book bar one and what a shock result that was! Congratulations to Ramit Kanodia J11 (757) who beat Rat Noble (1482) with a lovely two Bishop checkmate! Ray keeps telling the juniors they play two quick without giving any thought to to the move and “BANG” he does the same thing and paid the price! Well played Ramit!

Next Thursday 4th July will be the 3rd Quick-Play event. It will also be the last night of the Junior Club Championship qualifying section. It should be a busy night once again at Castlehill!
