looking for new members.
Castlehill Chess Club is Dundee's most welcoming and most competitive
chess Club Our membership is currently around twenty-five, and we're
always looking to get more people involved.
If you want to improve your chess, play casual chess, league chess,
or any kind of chess, simply come along to the club or contact us to
be greeted at the door.
Location
The Club meets in the Stobswell Sports & Recreation Club, 5
Raglan Street, Dundee (formerly Civil Service Club). Click here for location map.
Activities
We have a team in the Richardson Cup and several teams in the local league, playing midweek evenings. Internally we run a club championship (November to May), a handicap tournament (December to May), a Summer Swiss
(May to September) and various irregular tournaments. We also cater for social (non-competitive) chess. Tuition and coaching can be arranged.
Club nights are Mondays and Thursdays, from 7.30 p.m.
Anyone interested is welcome to come along for a few visits to meet and play us before deciding whether or not to join.
