The
tournament will be held over six club nights, between Castlehill Chess club
and Dundee/Victoria Chess Club. (home & away, 3 each)

Dates
to be set in advance by organiser/committee's.

Chess
Scotland Allegro rules apply.

round Swiss allegro event using Chess Scotland Swiss pairing system or a
committee approved computer pairing software program.

Where
"possible" after each draw, the organiser will adjust the pairings
so players are paired against players from different clubs.

Time-Controls:
All moves in 15 minutes each player.

Scoring:
Win=1; Draw=½; Loss=0 points (All matches go for allegro grading)

As
soon as possible after 7:30pm the organiser shall display the 1st round
draw.

After
the second round draw has been made, no more entries can be taken.

If
two or more players are tied for places on the night they will share the
points for said number of places, i.e. Two players tie for 1st place will
get the points for 1st & 2nd place added together then divided by
two=9points divided by two=4.5points each.

All
players entering will be representing their respective chess club and
themselves as an individual player.

Players
will be awarded points for finishing in the top five places each night. At
the end of the six tournament nights the Chess Club and Individual with the
most points will be Inter-Club Champions (Chess Club & Individual).

Points
Awarded: 1st=5pts; 2nd=4pts: 3rd=3pts: 4th=2pts: 5th=1point.

It
is not necessary or compulsory to enter all of the nights. You can pick and
choice, i.e. 1 or 2 or 3 or all of them etc.

Players
from both clubs can play in the event. Just turn up on any or all of the
arranged nights.

The
competition organiser and or committee may make amendments deemed
appropriate to ensure the smooth running of the tournament.

TIE-BREAK:
In the event of a tie-break for places at the end of the six events, the
following will apply in order (This only applies to the Individual not the
team)
