Results from last Thursday’s games:

Junior 4NCL, Division 2

KJCA Young Kestrels 4 (av grade 1228) 4 – 4 Dundee City (Av grade 676). Two wins for Max, one each for Noah and Josh and two losses for Ramit.

An excellent result for us considering the grading differences.

This puts Dundee City in second place, one Match point behind the leaders after two matches.

In TAFCA Division 1

St Andrews A vs Castlehill D

Both teams were one short so a double-default on board 4, but great result for our Dees with wins on 1 & 3 by Andy Rowe and Conor Kelly against very decent oponents. Nye lost a piece and went into an endgame a piece down but no chances of couterplay, so a 3 – 1 win for us.

Castlehill C vs Castlehill A.

No surprises here with a comfortable 4 – 0 to the A team,

Finally an increase in numbers at the club to 12, including two new lads from DHS and a first visit from new member Saranraj Gururaj. Next week I’m anticipating a visit from two or our newer juniors and possibly one other brand new visitor/potential member.
