TAFCA INDIVIDUAL QUICK-PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP 2020
”The End of the show, show finale” – Mon 12th Oct 20 – 7:30pm to 9:30pm
Congratulations to Jacques Ophoff (Dundee) on winning the “End of the show, show” finale on 23 points! A slow start ended with a mighty finish to become the TAFCA Individual Quick-Play champion 2020! Great performance Jacques!
Ed Spencer (Dundee) made it a one-two for Dundee, finishing runner-up on 21 points.
In third spot and stopping a Dundee clean sweep was our very own Euan Murray on 20 points! Well played Euan in a strong field of 36 players.
A big thank you to every player from Castlehill Chess Club Dundee, who supported this event, We had the most players with 13, with Dundee (again as you would expect) our nearest rivals with 11 players. All clubs were represented except Perth who are struggling for players to play online. A pity, they have some really good players and people who would add something to the TAFCA competitions.
Thank you to everyone for supporting this event tonight. Also thank you for all taking part in the TAFCA League Online trial run. Without you it would not have been the success it has been.
Once again congratulations to Jacques Ophoff for winning tonight. Congratulations to Euan again for a marvellous performance. Thank you to the organising committee who made it all look so easy!
It`s good night from me, and it`s good night from the TAFCA League Online!
